Salary: £25,700
Hours: Double Days (Monday to Thursday - 06:00 till 13:45 or 13:30 till 21:15 and Friday - 06:00 till 11:30 or 11:15 till 17:00)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the role:
We are looking for a detail-focused Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business producing high-quality printed products. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail who takes pride in ensuring every product meets the highest quality standards before it leaves the factory.
You’ll be inspecting printed materials, spotting even the smallest inconsistencies, and setting up equipment to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities -
* Carrying out visual and physical inspections of printed materials for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
* Identifying and reporting any defects such as misregistration, colour variation, smudging, or incorrect content.
* Setting up multiple slitter units.
* Setting up and running a 100% visual inspection unit.
* Splicing rolls together in line with customer specifications.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Experience working in printing/production or manufacturing environments.
* Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach.
* Ability to follow procedures, manuals, and quality standards.
* Good teamwork skills and a safety-first mindset.
* Basic computer skills.
Desirable:
* Previous quality control or print inspection experience.
* Familiarity with defect detection tools.
* Ability to read and interpret job specs, artwork, and production instructions.
