Job Description

Production Operative
  * Dunston, Gateshead
  * £12.71 per hour
Pin Point Recruitment is looking for experienced Production Operatives for an expanding manufacturing company in Dunston.
Shift Pattern
Day Shift
  * Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 15:00 / Friday: 07:00 – 14:30
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  * Operate paint line equipment, including pre-treatment, dry off oven, spray booth, and curing oven
  * Load and unload parts from the conveyor line safely and efficiently.
  * Check coating thickness, finish quality, and colour consistency against specifications.
  * Ensure all products are handled with care to avoid damage before and after coating.
  * Monitor line operation and report any defects, faults, or quality issues to the Supervisor / Team Leader
  * Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of paint line equipment and work area.
  * Follow health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE and safe handling of chemicals.
  * Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
  * Experience working in a manufacturing, powder coating, or paint line environment an advantage
  * Good attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
  * Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
  * Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Desirable:
  * Knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment.
  * Forklift or overhead crane experience.
  * Basic understanding of quality control procedures.
