Job Title: Production Operative
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (12-hour rotating shifts)
Pay Rates:
Day Shift (6:00am – 6:00pm): £12.44 per hour
Night Shift (6:00pm – 6:00am): £13.44 per hour
Location: Milton Keynes
Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Start Date: Immediate
Job Summary:
We are recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of our client – a well-established food production company. You’ll be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to key parts of the production line including machine operation, packing, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor production machinery
Supply machines with raw materials and packaging
Complete recipe and product changeovers
Maintain hygiene standards and clean using approved chemicals
Handle and dispose of waste materials safely
Stack finished goods on pallets using appropriate equipment
Record production data accurately
React promptly to line stoppages or equipment faults
Requirements:
Essential:
Positive, reliable attitude
Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Good attention to detail
Basic IT/data entry skills
Strong communication (verbal and written)
Flexibility across shift patterns and tasks
Desirable:
Previous experience in food production or FMCG
Understanding of food safety and hygiene in high-risk environments
