Production Operative
Location: Thetford
Job Type: Full-Time / Rotating Shifts
Gap Personnel is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Thetford for the role of Production Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and well-established energy-from-waste operation, playing a key role in supporting the daily functioning of the plant. This is a temp to perm role with the position highly likely to be made permanent. There is also significant opportunity for overtime.
Pay Rates:
Basic Rate: £13.25 per hour
Overtime Rate: £17.67 per hour
Sunday & Bank Holiday Rate: £26.50 per hour
Shift Pattern:
Rotating weekly- 5 days from 6- Mon-Sat between:
05:00 – 13:30
13:00 – 20:30
Key Responsibilities:
Unloading & loading incoming fuel materials
Loading and shovling materials into conveyors to maintain boiler operations
Cleaning up any materials that fall from conveyors to ensure a safe and efficient environment
Monitoring and recording line temperatures
Carrying out routine cleaning of boilers and related systems
Completing all relevant paperwork for deliveries and operations
Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar industrial or plant environment (preferred)
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
Strong focus on health and safety
High attention to detail and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including potential weekends and bank holidays
