Job Description
We are looking for a Production Operative to join a small, supportive team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for preparing castings to a high standard, working with precision tools, and following strict quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Remove defects and excess material from castings using hand tools (grinders, burrs, abrasive belts).
Dress castings to meet drawing tolerances.
Prepare castings for welding based on inspection results.
Carry out weld mapping activities.
Use measurement tools (Callipers, micrometres, depth gauges).
De-burring, grinding, and removing ceramic mould material.
Work to tight tolerances and quality standards at all times.Key Requirements:
Good manual skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work overtime if needed.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Basic maths skills.
Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklift trucks.Salary: £26,250 + shift allowance (depending on pattern worked).
Shifts:
Shift 1: Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm, Fri 5am-1pm.
Shift 2: Mon-Thurs 2pm-10pm, Fri 1pm-9pm (+% allowance).
Shift 3: Sun-Fri 10pm-6am (+% allowance).About Us
