Production Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver (Packing Department)

£14.05 per hour | Monday to Friday | Day Shifts | Permanent Opportunity

Location - HU12

Hours - Monday - Friday (8 hour days, exact times TBC)

Are you an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver looking for a long-term opportunity within a successful manufacturing business? We are recruiting for a Production Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established and growing company within its Packing Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with recent Counterbalance FLT experience who is looking to secure a permanent position with a company that values commitment, safety, and teamwork.

The Role

Working as part of a busy production and packing team, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packed, stored, and moved safely and efficiently throughout the site. The role combines production duties with regular FLT Counterbalance operation.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move raw materials and finished goods.
Load and unload pallets from production and storage areas.
Supply production lines with materials as required.
Operate packing and production equipment safely and effectively.
Carry out routine equipment and FLT checks, reporting any defects.
Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
Complete product sampling and quality checks where required.
Pack, palletise, band, and wrap finished products to specification.
Transfer finished goods to designated warehouse locations.
Complete production records and paperwork accurately.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Support the wider manufacturing and warehouse teams as required.

What We're Looking For

Valid FLT Counterbalance licence/certification.
Recent and proven Counterbalance FLT experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, packing, or warehouse role.
Good understanding of health and safety practices.
Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
