Production Operator
Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
£31,745 – £33,657 + bonuses & benefits
Continental Shifts: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights, 6am–6pm)
Permanent | Full-Time | 42 hours per week
Are you a hands-on, hardworking individual looking to join a forward-thinking manufacturing environment? We’re hiring seven Production Operators to join a growing production team at one of the UK’s most advanced plastic recycling facilities.
This role offers excellent career progression, structured training, and the opportunity to truly make a difference by supporting sustainable manufacturing and recycling efforts.
What You'll Be Doing
Operate and maintain machinery across one of three core production teams (Sort Plant, Flake Operation, Extruder – assigned based on business need)
Ensure production quality standards are consistently met
Complete visual and documentation checks
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance
Support smooth production with minimal stoppages
Participate in planned maintenance and autonomous maintenance activities
Contribute to team KPIs and production goals
✅ What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on, active role
Basic computer literacy
Desirable: Forklift experience (not essential)
Training & Development
Structured 12-week machine-based training program
Ongoing health & safety and process training
Access to external courses where needed
Strong internal promotion culture with clear routes for progression
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £31,745 – £33,657 (based on team assignment)
