Job Description

Production Planner

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their manufacturing site near Guilford. As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in production planning and procurement This role requires logistical precision, proactive problem solving, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities as Production Planner

Develop and manage weekly production plans, including livestock procurement and coordination with factory partners.

Translate livestock slaughter plans into actionable customer sales.

Oversee the daily execution of production plans and logistics, including any supply chain disruptions or factory challenges.

Ensure accurate payment processing for suppliers through accurate stock management.

Identify and implement within internal workflows and factory processes to reduce waste and improve output.

Act as the central hub for internal and external communication, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.

Build and sustain high-trust relationships with suppliers, factory management, hauliers, and key customers.

Requirements as Production Planner

  * Prior production planning experience in a FMCG environment

  * Strong ability to handle price calculations, stock reconciliation, and data-driven decision-making.

  * Experience managing complex logistical processes or production workflows.

  * · Exceptional Organisation: The ability to juggle multiple moving parts (livestock, carcasses, production, logistics).

  * Confidence to make quick decisions under pressure and handle the unique challenges of the livestock industry.

What’s in it for you as Production Planner

Base Salary at £50,000 per annum dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays on a rotating schedule.

Training provided for all development areas.

25 days annual leave with public holiday rotation and lieu days.

Eligible for bonus scheme and private healthcare after passing probation.
