Location: Leicester
Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Hours / Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday // 8:30am - 17:30pm

Overview:
The Flavour Network are partnered with a leading business in the food manufacturing sector, to recruit a production planner to join their team. The Production Planner sits at the heart of the operation, coordinating between suppliers, production, logistics, and more, ensuring smooth day-to-day planning and delivery of high-quality products to major customers.
Key Responsibilities for the Production Planner:
* Develop and maintain accurate production plans to maximize efficiency while meeting customer demand.
* Ensure plans account for material availability, labour, and production capacity.
* Process customer orders, update production schedules, and communicate changes to internal teams and third parties.
* Liaise with hauliers to ensure timely delivery and collection, optimizing vehicle scheduling for cost-effectiveness.
* Track performance against the production plan and address any discrepancies.
* Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements for the Production Planner:
* 3+ years in a production planning or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Familiarity with supply chain processes in food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure, think on your feet, and handle multiple priorities
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with supply chain systemsBefore You Apply
