Role: Food Production Planner
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary / Rate of pay: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE

Develop, maintain and monitor detailed daily/weekly production schedules in line with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
Work cross-functionally with production, procurement, sales, and dispatch teams to ensure cohesive planning and timely delivery.
Track production performance and adjust plans as necessary to maintain OTIF targets.
Coordinate raw material availability with purchasing to avoid delays or excess inventory.
Use demand forecasting data to support efficient production planning and inventory control.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply and production schedule.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production processes.Key Requirements
Proven experience in production planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Strong understanding of planning principles, with the ability to adjust plans dynamically based on changing demand or operational challenges.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills-able to work effectively across departments, including production, quality, and logistics.
High level of organisational and time management ability, with an aptitude for multitasking and prioritising under pressure.
Strong IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or MRP systems is desirable.
A proactive, analytical, and solution-focused mindset.
Knowledge of food manufacturing processes or environments is preferred but not essential.
