Production Planner
Harlow, Essex CM19
Up to £45,000 DOE
Permanent role working 39 hours per week (early finish Friday, flexible hours considered) (Hybrid working available)
Company Overview
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are supporting a leading precision engineering and machining business in Harlow, Essex for their search for a driven and adaptable Production Planner. This is a key role within a busy, fast-paced environment, working with high-value aerospace and defence clients where meeting strict delivery deadlines is critical.
The company is experiencing rapid growth, with over £10 million in orders and exciting projects on the horizon. You will work closely with the Production Manager and act as the central link between operations, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure deadlines are met.
Manage the purchasing of raw materials, including exotic metals for precision-machined parts.
Liaise with aerospace and defence clients, updating online customer portals and maintaining excellent communication.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to adapt plans in line with changing priorities.
Track and report on production progress, resolving any scheduling issues.
Attend weekly progress meetings, including with international stakeholders.
Maintain accurate ERP/MRP system data for both production and procurement activities.
About You
Proven experience in a production planning role, ideally within precision engineering or machining.
Confident in purchasing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing lead times.
Strong IT skills, including experience with ERP/MRP systems and customer portals.
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
What’s on Offer
Salary up to £45,000 DOE.
39-hour working week with early Friday finish (1pm).
