Job Description
JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting aerospace precision engineering company to recruit a Production Planner. The Successful Production Planner - Requirements:
As a Production Planner, you’ll be responsible for optimising material resources, production capacity, and scheduling to align with operational strategy and customer demand. Your role will include:
*
Maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
*
Overseeing raw material and WIP flow to support uninterrupted production.
*
Developing efficient, achievable production plans that optimise labour and equipment utilisation.
*
Monitoring supplier deliveries and escalating risks to ensure OTIF delivery.
*
Using MRP/ERP systems to manage demand planning and system accuracy.
*
Collaborating with production teams to reduce cycle times, resolve bottlenecks, and improve throughput.
*
Supporting continuous improvement within planning and scheduling processes.
*
Contract review, raising purchase orders, and maintaining approved supplier lists.
The Successful Production Planner - Experience & Skills Required:
*
Previous experience as a Production Planner in an Aerospace / Precision Engineering environment.
*
Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
*
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and routings.
*
Proficient with Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
*
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
*
Formal Production Planning qualification (desirable).
*
Knowledge of CNC machining and metal fabrications (desirable).
