Hours: Full Time | 6 Month Temporary Role | Mon – Thurs 8:30 – 17:00 - Fri 8:00 - 13:00
Salary: £12.99 per hour | £25,000 per annum
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Production Planning Administrator to join their planning department and provide vital administrative support for processing orders through the business. The successful candidate will report to the Planning Team Leader and play a key role in ensuring smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities of a Production Planning Administrator
* Entering sales orders into the internal planning system.
* Running the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to produce daily manufacturing orders.
* Collating manufacturing order packs for production cells, including printing drawings, inspection plans, and data sheets.
* Managing administrative emails.
* Highlighting issues found in document packs before release.
* Releasing rapid and expedited production orders.
* Manually releasing and adjusting order volumes outside of automated ERP processes and communicating these changes with relevant internal and external teams when specific text, deadlines, or destinations are required.
* Assisting in identifying purchasing supply issues affecting production.
* Sending early warnings to supply chain and customer-facing teams regarding order delays.
* Performing general data entry and administrative tasks.
* Contributing to daily tiered planning meetings.
Key Skills of a Production Planning Administrator
* GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience with IT systems and data input.
* Previous administration experience.
* Knowledge of planning or ERP systems
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Accurate data input skills with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and build effective relationships.
* Capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
* Flexible and adaptable, able to cope with ambiguity.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Service-minded with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
