Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Manchester, M22 4TY
Salary: Competitive
Working Hours: 06:00 – 18:00 and is a rolling rota consisting of 6am-6pm shifts on a 3 on 3 off basis

Production Shift Manager– The Role:
The Production Shift Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the factory during their shift.
They hold overall accountability for the safe performance of the shift and must ensure that appropriately trained personnel are in place to meet customer commitments. This includes continually monitoring production requirements and allocating resources effectively to maintain optimal performance.
Production Shift Manager– Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve upon machine standards, cleanliness, and organisation of working areas
- Communicates with all areas of the business to ensure the continual operation of the manufacturing process
- To ensure compliance for all employees and agency workers on shift with all Company Health & Safety policies.
- Accountable for effective training and development for all employees
- Responsible for shift operational KPIs in line with the shift production plan
Production Shift Manager– You:
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and utilising lean manufacturing principles to drive performance improvements
- Injection Moulding experience would be advantageous
- Proven ability to lead and motivate and engage a team to succeed through coaching and development of skills, knowledge and attitude and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues
- Drives change and improvements
- Strong data drive problem-solving skills and able to establish logical, practical solutions
- Computer literate working to intermediate excel level
