Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join our clients manufacturing team based in the Baglan area.
Rate of pay: £32,000p.a
Hours of work: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm shifts
Contract: Permanent
Our client is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their growing operations team. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring daily production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll oversee the blending, filling, and packing operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and internal quality control procedures. You'll lead a small team of production operatives, supporting training, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Main Responsibilities:
Supervise daily production activities to meet schedules and targets.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Coordinate with the management team to maintain smooth workflow.
Lead, motivate, and develop production operatives.
Maintain accurate production records and report performance metrics.
Identify process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
Assist with equipment maintenance planning and site audits.Requirements:
Experience in managing a team
Minimum 3 Years of experience in a production or manufacturing role
Strong understanding of health & safety and quality management systems
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Forklift experienceDesirable
Experience with SAGE 50
Experience with chemical manufacturing and blending
Knowledge of COSHH
