Job Description
I am seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to oversee the operations in a busy manufacturing plant in Herefordshire. You will be responsible for a team of up to 30. You will responsible for driving output, training & development of staff & ensuring a lean manufacturing approach to your job, reporting into a Production Manager.

Description
Ensure the department is fully compliant with statutory and company health and safety policies.
Organise and prioritise workload for the teams based on the production schedule ensuring the department meets deadlines and OTIF
Responsible for the day to day running of the department being first point of contact for all daily operational activities.
Update Site Manager and colleagues at daily morning brief on all output, quality and health and safety matters (WAR)
Ensure all products adhere to the highest quality standards.
Responsible for managing the teams including managing absence and performance
Motivating the teams to achieve deadlines and ensuring training is given to achieve a multi skilled workforce.
Ensure housekeeping is maintained to acceptable levels (5S).
Ensure materials are issued to the operators in a timely manner and report any material issues/stock outs to the planning department.
Conduct learning sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Perform role in accordance with all relevant quality standards and adhere to relevant processes/policies.39 Hours/Week
Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00
Friday 08:30 - 16:30
Profile
You will be an experience Production Supervisor/Leader/Shift Manager from a manufacturing background, along with the following:
Prior experience in a supervisory role
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing best practices
Strong leadership and team management skills
Strong understanding of Health & Safety (IOSH desirable)
Proficiency in relevant software and technologies
Exceptional communication and organisational skills
An ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentJob Offer
