Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join our busy team in Grassington.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the Production Manager with the day-to-day running of operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and efficiency are maintained at all times.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in food manufacturing or production who’s looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Production Manager with daily operations.
* Ensure all staff have the relevant training to perform their roles safely and effectively.
* Oversee and promote a strong Health & Safety culture, liaising with the H&S Manager as required.
* Maintain excellent hygiene and housekeeping standards across the site.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with agreed work instructions, standards, and specifications.
* Collect, check, and file all production records and check sheets accurately.
* Carry out and assist with accident and non-conformance investigations.
* Conduct daily hygiene checks in Dispatch and Welfare areas after production and cleaning.
* Oversee stock rotation and stock control of consumables, PPE, and packaging materials.
* Support management with probation reviews, performance reviews, and disciplinary investigations.
* Promote teamwork and clear communication across departments to ensure smooth operations.
About You
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing or food production.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene practices.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Confident in leading, motivating, and developing a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
