Job Description
Production Team Leader – Finishing Department
Location: Farnborough
Full Time Permanent (38 Hours per week)
£16.00 - £18.00
We are seeking a driven and experienced Team Leader to oversee a specialist area within our production facility. Working closely with operations management and other cell leaders, you will lead a small, skilled team in a key finishing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support your team to meet daily production targets and workflow priorities
Monitor and drive production efficiency in line with staffing and operational demands
Coordinate staff training, performance reviews, and development plans
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, particularly in finishing techniques and working environment
Ensure quality standards, lean principles, and H&S compliance are maintained throughout the department
Track and manage materials inventory, including shelf-life-sensitive products
Oversee department admin, including BOM updates, purchasing, and budget management
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 7S implementation
Manage day-to-day personnel matters including annual leave, conflict resolution, and performance discussionsWhat We’re Looking For:
Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced, hands-on production or finishing environment
A proactive mindset with a strong focus on process improvement and team development
Practical understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Excellent communication and planning skills
