About the company:
Our client is a leading rail company in the UK, dedicated to providing reliable and efficient transportation services to millions of passengers every year. As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Production Technician to join our Engineering team at our well-equipped rolling stock depot.
Your Responsibilities:
Perform challenging mechanical production duties, including gearboxes, mod repairs, and Production of rolling stock assets.
Support and complete repairs, modifications, and commissioning within our state-of-the-art rolling stock depot.
Independently modify allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of our modification and production plan.
Follow specified engineering instructions and drawings, using the provided methods and tools.
Undertake any other duties as needed within the scope of the modification and production work.
Knowledge & Experience:
Ability to accurately complete all records of actions and operations following procedures.
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, including biohazards, manual handling, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
Proficient in the use of a laptop for diagnostic purposes.
Understand and interpret technical publications.
Ability to maintain and care for tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Use a laptop for diagnostic fault-finding and rectification purposes
