Production Technician
Location: Newport Isle of Wight
Salary: £13.84
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pertemps Recruitment is seeking a Production Technician to join a leading manufacturing organisation. This role involves assembling, testing, and calibrating electronic and mechanical components to high-quality standards, while supporting continuous improvement across the production team. The role is initially for 6 months with a possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and test electronic, electrical, and mechanical components.
Program and calibrate PCBs and subassemblies.
Inspect finished products against defined criteria.
Troubleshoot and repair faults during manufacture.
Complete production and quality documentation.
Support process improvements and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Skills & Experience Required:
Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Previous experience in production or electronic assembly.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
IPC-610, IPC-620, JSTD-001 certifications desirable but not essential.
