Programme Quality Engineer - Defence
📍 Kingston Upon Thames | Permanent | Hybrid Working

iO Associates are working with a leading organisation in the defence sector to recruit a Programme Quality Engineer. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support complex system development programmes, ensuring technical and process compliance from bid stage through to delivery.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Provide assurance support across assigned bids and projects/programmes
Monitor hardware and electrical development for compliance with technical requirements
Conduct MA/QA activities during acquisition and programme execution
Facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) and onsite inspections
Manage the SCAR process for supplier NCRs
Participate in bid and programme Gate Reviews
Oversee supplier quality and corrective actions
✅ Essential Skills & Experience:
Quality assurance experience in a systems engineering environment
Knowledge of UK MOD assurance requirements and practices
Proven record in delivering against defined QA requirements
Experience in quality improvement methods (Lessons Learnt, 8D, 5-Whys)
Familiarity with risk identification and reporting
British National (for security clearance purposes)
🌟 Desirable:
IPC 610/620 certification for electrical inspection
Experience monitoring supplier KPIs
