Are you a hands-on finance professional with Xero expertise and a flair for process improvement?
We’re hiring a Project Accountant to join a growing SME, specialising in construction and materials handling, on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in refining financial systems, streamlining reporting, and embedding best practices across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Reviewing and improving the Chart of Accounts and stock processes.
* Streamlining invoice, journal, and PO procedures.
* Integrating financial spreadsheets and tools into Xero.
* Setting up a Fixed Asset Register and depreciation policy.
* Enhancing reporting, forecasting, and budget capabilities.
* Overseeing integration between Xero, Insphire, and Shopify.
To be successful you will have:
* Strong experience with Xero.
* A process-driven mindset and ability to train others.
* Ideally, experience in plant hire or construction finance.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
