Project Architect Location: Hybrid – Oxfordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire or nearby Type: Permanent Salary: £43k to £48k (based on experience) What You’ll Do You’ll take the lead and run a wide range of projects – our client designs multi-million-pound education projects, modern sporting facilities, and high-end, one-off houses and homes, to name a few. You’ll guide projects from concept to completion, mentor junior staff members, and be a trusted part of our team. The successful Project Architect won’t only be highly capable and technically sharp, but will also thrive on collaboration, take ownership, and want to make a meaningful impact. Some travel will be needed between offices and sites. About You You’re an Architect with around 5 years, UK based, post-qualification experience and can show our client that you’ve got the necessary skills. You are design focussed with excellent design skills, and can deliver high calibre results. You’re also personable, hands-on, curious, and generous with your experience. We're looking for someone with ambition and vision — someone who not only wants to grow with our client, but has the enthusiasm to help shape and influence the future direction of the business. You have: * A proven track record in educational or commercial architecture * An instinct for great, high quality design paired with solid technical knowledge * Contract admin (JCT traditional) experience * Collaboration experience in both leading and supporting roles * CAD and BIM capability (bonus points for ArchiCAD) * Strong communication skills * General software skills (MS Office, Google Workspace, Photoshop etc) * Competent use of NBS software * A full UK driving licence and your own car Bonus points if you: * Are passionate about low energy design or sustainability * Have experience of high end residential projects * Bring other skills, such as heritage, conservation or digital presentation (e.g. Photoshop, PowerPoint) Join a Practice That Thinks Differently Our client doesn’t just design buildings — they shape spaces that people love. They’re a close-knit team, passionate about creativity, sustainability, and thoughtful architecture that balances beauty with function. Most of their clients come through repeat commissions or word of mouth — a testament to the care and creativity they put into every project. How We Work They combine remote work with flexible in-person collaboration. You’ll co-work with your local team once or twice a week and work from home the rest of the time. You’ll stay connected with regular virtual catch-ups as well as in person team social events, and they’ll take the last Friday of the month off (if targets are met — and they usually are). Our Values Our client values clear thinking and strive for excellence. Our client also enjoys challenging the norm with a progressive mindset, craft beautiful outcomes, and stay approachable always. Sound like your kind of place? Then we’d love to hear from you
