Our client, a leading water sector specialist are seeking an experienced EICA Project Engineer near Harrogate.
Candidates must be commutable and have right to work in the UK, sponsorship cannot be offered.
Job Outline
A timed served EICA Engineer, Electrical background to work on Countrywide Projects predominately within the Water Industry. Work will be with Water Companies: Yorkshire Water, Northumbria Water, Severn Trent Water, also work with the MOD on Military Bases so candidates will be able to gain WWW Security Clearance.
The role will encompass Cradle to grave ie: Input into Design Solution, Site Installation Works, Testing and commissioning.
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of water and wastewater treatment plant operations and associated processes.
Conduct comprehensive MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) site surveys, including assessments of LV electrical distribution systems, MCCs, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, communication networks, instrumentation, and telemetry systems.
Perform modifications to panels and MCC hardware, including electrical wiring and instrumentation integration.
Oversee MEICA construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, permits, and RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
Carry out electrical testing in accordance with BS7671 standards and complete all associated Electrical Installation Certificates.
Lead the commissioning of fully integrated electrical and mechanical systems, including MCCs, VSDs, pumps, dosing systems, valves, actuators, instrumentation, and telemetry.
Manage and execute validation and witness testing to verify system performance and compliance.
Conduct end-to-end testing of telemetry systems to ensure accurate functionality and integration.
Develop and review electrical schematics, instrument loop diagrams, I/O schedules, plant schedules, telemetry schedules, and P&IDs.
Prepare and critically assess control system design documentation, including system architecture diagrams, User Requirement Specifications (URS), and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
Perform cable sizing and electrical load calculations using tools such as Amtech and Trimble.
Prepare and review detailed commissioning documentation, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), and overall commissioning strategies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adherence to ATEX, DSEAR, and SIL compliance standards.

Higher National Certificate (BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma) Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Understanding of Process within Water Industry P&ID`s, PFD`s
Input into EICA drawings (SLD`s, Block Cable Diagrams, Cable Schedules, etc)
Testing & Commissioning: Attend FAT, SAT, Produce Commissioning Plans, Inspection & Test Plans)
