Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Manager with a strong background in HVAC or mechanical systems procurement, project coordination, and client relationship management. This role is central to ensuring the seamless delivery of HVAC plant equipment and associated works, from initial procurement through to final customer handover.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Lead the end-to-end procurement of major HVAC plant equipment, ensuring all purchases meet the project’s technical, commercial, and compliance requirements.
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate contracts, secure competitive pricing, and manage lead times.
Oversee logistics and ensure timely delivery of equipment to site.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, providing clear communication, progress updates, and expert guidance.
Manage client queries promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved effectively while maintaining strong working relationships.
Align project deliverables with client expectations and contractual obligations.
Project Delivery & Site Coordination
Arrange commissioning of HVAC plant, coordinating with specialist contractors and engineers to ensure systems are tested, certified, and fully operational.
Plan, schedule, and oversee site works in line with the agreed project scope, ensuring health & safety standards and quality benchmarks are consistently met.
Manage third-party contractors and internal teams to maintain smooth on-site operations.
Financial & Commercial Control
Take full ownership of project financials, including cost forecasting, budgeting, progress valuations, and final accountsettlement.
Monitor expenditure against budget, proactively addressing risks of cost overrun.
Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with company procedures.
Project Completion & Handover
Manage the structured handover of completed works to customers, ensuring all documentation, manuals, and certifications are in place.
Conduct final inspections and resolve any outstanding snags before project closeout.
Deliver a professional customer experience that encourages repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven track record in project management within the HVAC, M&E, or building services sector.
Strong knowledge of HVAC plant equipment procurement and commissioning processes.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels.
Solid financial acumen, with experience handling project budgets and cost control.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers within tight deadlines.
Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and compliance regulationsBefore You Apply
