About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will lead key investment projects to future-proof and upgrade their food processing operations. This includes installing, moving, and upgrading machinery as well as facilitating site extensions. You will manage large budgets, coordinate closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role offers excellent opportunities for career growth within one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exciting engineering projects such as installations and site upgrades
* Manage project governance: meetings, documentation, procurement, and timelines
* Coordinate supplier activities including hygiene, FAT/SAT, and PUWUR
* Raise CAPEX paperwork and manage supplier quotes
* Oversee contractors, permits, and site safety compliance
* Build strong relationships through collaboration with operations managers and production teams
About You
If you are an engineer with a background in manufacturing environments and are comfortable in managing projects this could be a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in project engineering through driving continuous improvement and innovation within a fast-paced food production environment.
Key Skills/Qualifications
* Proficient in MS Office
* Knowledge of engineering lifecycle and maintenance practises
* Knowledge of project management tools such as PRINCE2 is advantageous
