Project Engineer

Location: Studley, Warwickshire
Salary: £35,000 . £45,000 DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week
Position: Full-time, permanent

An established engineering business specialising in heavy transport, lifting and complex installation projects is looking for a Project Engineer to join its engineering team.

You will develop practical engineering solutions for projects ranging from short-turnaround site requirements through to major, multi-year programmes. The role combines design engineering, project planning and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Design engineering solutions for heavy transport, lifting and installation projects.

Produce technical drawings, engineering calculations and rigging studies.

Prepare RAMS, risk assessments and method statements.

Select and allocate suitable equipment for individual projects.

Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings and technical documentation.

Liaise with clients, site teams and internal departments throughout project delivery.

Determine project resource and equipment requirements.

Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering, safety and temporary works standards.

Support projects from initial concept through to successful site execution.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Naval Architecture Engineering.

Good understanding of engineering principles and design calculations.

Basic proficiency with AutoCAD 2D.

Strong technical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working within a fast-paced project engineering environment.

Full UK driving licence.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

Appointed Person (AP) qualification.

HSEQ qualification.

Experience with FEM or other engineering modelling software.

Previous experience within heavy lifting, transport, cranes, rigging, temporary works or complex installation projects.
