Danny Sullivan Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineer (MEICA) to support the delivery of complex and innovative engineering solutions across civil infrastructure and water projects.
This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with hands-on experience in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) installations who can lead engineering activities, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and support safe, on-time, and high-quality project delivery. The Role: As a Project Engineer, you will be central to the delivery of MEICA works across a diverse range of projects (from £200k to £10m+), from framework programmes to emergency interventions. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring project specifications are met, technical risk is managed, and engineering activities are completed safely, on budget, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical delivery of MEICA elements, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards
Produce technical specifications and coordinate contractor and supplier input
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and milestones to ensure performance targets are achieved
Support commercial processes including variations and change orders
Perform quality assurance checks and coordinate technical documentation
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client teams to resolve engineering challenges
Ensure seamless integration between mechanical, electrical, civil and control systems
Support preparation of drawings, schematics, reports and handover documentation
Monitor works on-site and coordinate with installation and commissioning teams
Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers
Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices to ensure technical complianceAbout You: Essential:
Strong background in MEICA or industrial installations, ideally within water or utilities
Proven experience managing engineering elements from concept to completion
Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams, clients, and third parties
Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Technical understanding of control systems and multidisciplinary interfaces
A methodical, client-focused approach with a drive for quality and deliveryDesirable:
Knowledge of current electrical or mechanical codes and standards
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small teams
