We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to join our Hydrogen and Clean Energy Division, based in Glasgow (with travel to Glasgow office as required if applicant outside area).
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for managing multi-discipline engineering teams and delivering innovative, safe, and efficient project solutions in emerging energy markets.
Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies:
* Degree in Engineering.
* Demonstrable experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or power (conventional or renewable) industries.
* Proven track record in delivering small to medium scale projects.
* Experience managing or supervising degree-qualified engineers.
* Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards.
* Familiarity with fluid transfer, power and control technologies.
* Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable, Experience and Qualifications:
* Chartered Engineer status.
* Experience with hydrogen, renewables, instrumentation and control technologies.
* Knowledge of manufacturing, machining, fabrication, welding procedures/codes.
* Understanding of CDM roles, PED/ATEX regulations.
* Experience in developing engineering processes and procedures.
* Participation in engineering reviews and investigations with customers.
* Management/supervision and safety training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver project technical requirements including design, safety, performance, and reliability.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external engineering standards and regulations.
* Coordinate engineering activities across internal departments, customers, vendors, and partners.
* Oversee technical documentation, design reviews, and safety assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, etc.).
* Support procurement processes and evaluate vendor proposals.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks and manage engineering change processes.
* Provide technical leadership and staff development within the engineering team.
* Represent Hydrasun at customer meetings and industry events.
