Job Summary:
We're looking for a motivated Project Maintenance Engineer to help upgrade and improve infrastructure on a major UK COMAH site. This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience in the hydrogen and chemical industries, while leading hands-on engineering projects focused on plant safety, reliability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver plant upgrade projects (mechanical/process systems)
Develop solutions for legacy asset improvement
Oversee timelines, budgets, and coordination with cross-functional teams
Support commissioning and training for new systems
Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments (HAZOP)
Work toward enhanced plant performance and sustainability
Candidate Requirements:
HNC/Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
2–4 years’ engineering experience in industrial/chemical setting
Familiarity with compressed gases is a plus
Strong interest in clean energy and hydrogen industries
Practical mindset with a proactive and learning-focused attitude
