Adecco are recruiting on behalf of the London Borough of Ealing for an experienced Project Manager to join the Innovation & Change team within Children's Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver impactful transformation projects that improve outcomes for children, young people, families, and local communities. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and residents to design and deliver effective solutions that support the council's strategic objectives.
Contract Details:
Type: Temporary initially for 3 months
Pay: £26.88 per hour (PAYE) / £35.18 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: Perceval House, Ealing
Working Arrangements: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Hours: 35 hours per weekKey Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver change, transformation, service improvement, and social innovation projects across Children's Services.
Manage projects through all stages of the project lifecycle using agile methodologies and project management best practice.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery against agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities with internal and external partners.
Develop and test innovative service solutions and prototypes to support organisational transformation.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Design and implement effective governance arrangements to ensure project oversight and accountability.
Build strong relationships with senior leaders, frontline staff, residents, community organisations, and external partners.
Monitor project performance, benefits realisation, and service improvement outcomes.About You:
Strong experience delivering complex transformation, change, or improvement projects within local government, the public sector, or a similar environment.
Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and agile delivery approaches.
Understanding of the challenges facing local government and public services.
Ability to develop practical delivery plans that translate strategic objectives into measurable outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing competing priorities and delivering results within challenging timescales.
Skilled in analysing information, monitoring performance data, and making evidence-based decisions.
Ability to identify opportunities for digital innovation and service improvement.
Degree-level education or a relevant professional qualification is desirable.
