Project Manager
Position Summary:
As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of diverse automation projects, identifying new revenue opportunities, and managing key contractual relationships.
You will manage complex projects, ensuring they align with budgets, timelines, and key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Management:
Lead multiple projects, managing project delivery teams, in accordance with the project portfolio.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Installations, and other departments to ensure smooth handovers and ongoing project success.
Risk Management & Mitigation:
Identify potential risks, document, and implement effective contingency plans to mitigate them.
Budget & Commercial Management:
Maintain project margins, manage project budgets, and handle variations or scope changes efficiently.
Time Management & Reporting:
Utilise MS Projects and PMP principles to manage schedules, provide timely reports, and ensure projects stay on track.
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Ensure clear communication of project requirements and deadlines, minimizing pressures from changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Must have managed and successfully delivered at least 3 major projects (preferably with a minimum of 5 years of overall project management experience).
Experience in industries such as Automation, Automotive, Aerospace, Food & Beverage, Healthcare, or Material Handling Systems is desirable.
Proven ability to manage complex, diverse projects, with a solid understanding of project management principles.
Technical Skills:
Sound engineering knowledge.
Proficient in MS Projects and SAP and competent in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate, and inspire teams.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and working in a matrix structure.
Financial & Commercial Acumen:
Commercially aware with experience in risk management and financial reporting.
Ability to manage project budgets and deliver projects within scope and margin expectations.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Skilled in preparing and presenting business reports.
Qualifications:
HNC in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Project Management certifications such as Prince2, PMP are highly desirable.
Valid UK driving license.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field.
