Project Manager – Food Manufacturing ProjectsLocation: Chichester
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent or Contract

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in food manufacturing and capital equipment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer ready to step up, or an established Project Manager looking for a hands-on delivery role within a growing business.

You will take ownership of projects from initial concept through to completion, managing external contractors to deliver complex engineering solutions within live manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  * Deliver full lifecycle CAPEX projects within the food manufacturing sector

  * Manage factory extension, upgrade, and new build projects

  * Oversee equipment installation, integration, and commissioning

  * Develop and manage project plans using MS Project

  * Produce and review layouts using AutoCAD (or similar)

  * Control budgets, schedules, and contractor performance

  * Act as key client interface throughout project delivery

  * Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and food industry standards

  * Support feasibility, scope definition, and technical solutions

About You

  * Strong background in food manufacturing engineering projects

  * Experience with capital equipment and CAPEX delivery

  * Proficient in MS Project and AutoCAD

  * Likely coming from a Project Engineer role (4–5+ years experience) ready to step up

  * Strong understanding of factory-based production environments

  * Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills
