Freelance Project Manager – Aviation Lounge Fit Out
Birmingham
Freelance Contract
£400 per day
Immediate Start | Initial contract until June (with strong potential to extend)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of an aviation lounge fit out project in Birmingham.

This is a freelance opportunity with an immediate start, running initially through to June, with a strong likelihood of extension due to a growing pipeline of work across the account. There is also potential for the role to transition into a permanent position for the right individual.

The client is looking for someone capable of taking ownership of the project and steadying the ship, working independently to drive delivery within a fast-paced airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Managing the delivery of an aviation lounge fit out project within a live airport environment

  * 

    Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved

  * 

    Liaising with stakeholders, client representatives and airport authorities

  * 

    Managing project documentation, programme tracking and reporting

  * 

    Ensuring all works are delivered safely and in line with compliance and airport regulations

  * 

    Supporting elements of pre-construction planning where required

Requirements

  * 

    Proven experience delivering fit out or refurbishment projects as a Project Manager

  * 

    Previous experience working on aviation or airport-based projects

  * 

    Strong understanding of airport logistics, access restrictions and operational environments

  * 

    Ability to operate independently and take ownership of project delivery

  * 

    Experience supporting pre-construction activities is highly desirable
