About the Company
Our client is a rapidly growing renewable energy specialist delivering high-quality Solar PV and sustainable energy solutions across the UK. With an established reputation in the commercial, industrial and construction sectors, they work with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from major national businesses and developers through to high-profile public and private sector projects.
Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their expanding operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with Solar PV, electrical, construction or renewable energy experience to play a key role in delivering projects nationwide while developing their career within a fast-growing sector.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of commercial Solar PV installations from project handover through to completion. You will coordinate installation teams, manage project programmes, liaise with clients and suppliers, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
The position is primarily office-based with hybrid working options available, alongside occasional travel to project sites across the UK.
The successful candidate may come from a Project Management background within Solar PV, renewable energy, electrical contracting or construction. Candidates with experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Site Manager, Contracts Manager, Lead Electrician or Project Engineer looking to progress into a Project Management role are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage commercial Solar PV and electrical installation projects from start to finish
* Coordinate installation teams, subcontractors and suppliers
* Plan project programmes and ensure delivery milestones are achieved
* Order materials and manage project logistics
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery
* Support DNO and G99 grid connection applications (training available)
* Monitor project costs, progress and performance
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
* Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
* Conduct site visits and provide technical support when required
Requirements
* Experience managing Solar PV, electrical or construction projects
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Experience coordinating site teams and subcontractors
* Good understanding of electrical installations and project delivery
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
* Solar PV industry experience
* Electrical qualifications or previous installation experience
* Knowledge of DNO applications and G99 processes
* SMSTS, SSSTS or ECS certification
