Job Description

Are you an organised construction professional who enjoys keeping projects on track, building strong client relationships and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes?

We're working with a growing construction and fire protection business that is looking to appoint a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects across Sussex.

This is a varied Project Manager role where you'll split your time between visiting sites, managing operatives, liaising with clients and handling the administration needed to keep projects compliant, on schedule and running efficiently. You'll take ownership of multiple live projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.

As a Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  * Managing labour, subcontractors and site-based teams

  * Coordinating works across multiple projects

  * Building and maintaining strong client relationships

  * Conducting regular site visits and progress reviews

  * Managing project documentation and compliance records

  * Overseeing health & safety requirements

  * Processing timesheets and workforce information

  * Organising materials and resources

  * Identifying and resolving issues before they impact delivery

  * Ensuring projects remain on programme and within budget

Requirements for the Project Manager:

You may currently be a:

  * Project Manager

  * Assistant Project Manager

  * Contracts Coordinator

  * Site Manager

  * Construction Coordinator

  * Construction Office Manager

To be successful as a Project Manager, you’ll need:

  * Previous experience within the construction industry

  * Strong organisational and administrative skills

  * Excellent communication skills

  * The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  * Confidence working with clients, contractors and site teams

  * A proactive approach to problem solving

  * A full UK driving licence

Benefits, Salary and Hours for the Project Manager:

  * Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm

  * £40,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)

  * Field-based across Eastbourne, Rye, Hastings and Worthing
