Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong main contractor background? Ready to take on a major construction challenge with a respected industry leader?
We are working with a large, well-established main contractor seeking a Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a large-scale data centre project in Newport.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a substantial section of the build, reporting to a Senior Project Manager and managing a Site Manager in turn. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of your package of works, maintaining programme, quality and safety standards, and driving performance on site.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site activities for your section of the build
*
Report progress, risks, and issues to the Senior Project Manager
*
Lead, coordinate and support the Site Manager and subcontractors
*
Ensure the project is delivered on time, to specification and within budget
*
Uphold site safety, compliance, and quality standards
*
Liaise effectively with commercial, design and client teams
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor
*
Track record delivering complex construction projects, ideally data centres or similar large-scale schemes
*
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
*
Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
*
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
