Job Description
Software Project Manager
Hybrid working in Horsham, West Sussex offices.
We are proud to be recruiting for a global software company with lovely offices in Horsham who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to work three days in office and two days remote per week in this new PM role.
We are looking for a Project Manager to work on multiple client facing software development projects for their software platform which has been a market leader for many years.
As a Software PM you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of software projects from start to finish, managing a few projects on a concurrent basis while working heavily with clients to ensure the successful delivery of these projects to time and to budget.
Main responsibilities:
Project Initiation & Planning:
* Collaborating with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to discuss new projects and proposals.
* Defining project scope, setting deadlines, and creating project plans.
* Assembling project teams & allocating roles.
* Produce and maintain clear project schedules.
Project Execution:
* Managing day-to-day project activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule.
* Monitoring project budgets & resource allocation.
* Tracking milestones, KPIs & project progress.
* Leading meetings & providing updates to stakeholders.
Other tasks:
* Build and manage relationships and dependencies across the project team, the client, partners and suppliers.
* Create a trusting team environment where there is open communication
* Working closely with the Quality department to test, assess and evaluate project quality.
* Identifying & managing project risks.
* Liaising with relevant Client and internal stakeholders for changes and negotiations
* Ensuring software quality standards are met.
* Properly documenting project closure.
* Implementing lessons learned & best practices to improve future outcomes.
* you will be expected to perform other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent PM certifications and experience
* Strong Project Management, project planning and client project delivery experience
* Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
* Commercial experience of Waterfall and Agile Software Development methodologies
In summary, you’re the bridge between project vision and successful implementation, working closely with Clients and your Software Development team to ensure smooth collaboration, efficient resource utilisation, and high-quality deliverables.
