Job Title: Site Manager / Project Manager
Location: West Coast of Scotland (Remote)
Start Date: Pre-construction Phase – Late 2025 | Main Works – Early 2026
Duration: Initial 2 Years + Potential 2-Year Follow-On
Overview:
Corrie Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Site Manager / Project Manager to lead a major earthworks platform project off the west coast of Scotland.
While the main construction phase is scheduled to begin in early 2026, the client is seeking to appoint the successful candidate from late 2025 to manage pre-construction planning, site mobilisation, and team setup.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a site team of up to 20 staff
* Oversee project planning, site setup, and execution from pre-construction through to delivery
* Ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards
* Implement client HSEQ procedures and promote a strong safety culture on site
* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, consultants, and the wider project team
Requirements:
* Proven experience in managing large-scale earthworks or civil engineering projects
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Familiarity with remote project logistics and multidisciplinary teams
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain)
* Willingness to work in a remote location on a long-term basis
Future Opportunity:
* Upon successful delivery of the initial earthworks scope, there is strong potential for a 2-year follow-on contract involving the construction of steel-framed buildings and a new substation.
