Project Manager – 12-Month FTC – Faslane – Up to £60,000
Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering a range of engineering projects under the direction of the Programme Manager. The role requires structured project management, a strong understanding of military and maritime engineering practices, and direct engagement with customers. It also includes identifying and supporting business development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring progress is tracked and issues are resolved.
* Maintain effective controls for time, cost, and quality, aligning outcomes with company strategy and customer requirements.
* Coordinate Integrated Project Teams and ensure sufficient resources and skills are in place.
* Manage stakeholder communication and engagement across internal and external parties.
* Identify and mitigate risks, escalating where necessary.
* Address resource needs through training, development, or recruitment.
* Provide regular progress updates to the Programme Manager.
* Proactively identify opportunities for business growth.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, ideally with a recognised accreditation.
* Ability to motivate and build effective project teams.
* Strong knowledge of military and maritime engineering standards.
* Experience in planning, monitoring, and controlling projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce full project documentation.
* Familiarity with project/programme management methods (MSP, PRINCE2, APM, Change Management, MoR).
* Budget management experience; knowledge of SAGE is desirable
