Be part of a once-in-a-generation project shaping the future of the UK's clean energy landscape. Hinkley Point C is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK for over 25 years - a landmark project delivering low-carbon electricity to millions of homes.
We're looking for a Project Manager to join the Construction & Site Common Services team, playing a key role in the planning and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary engineering and construction packages on site.
This is a chance to work on one of Europe's most exciting megaprojects - developing world-class skills and contributing to a legacy that will power Britain for decades.
The Opportunity
As a Project Manager, you'll take ownership of delivering critical work packages, covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities - ensuring they meet schedule, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
You'll report to a Senior Project Manager, leading project delivery through coordination of resources, contractors, and internal stakeholders across multiple technical disciplines.
You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where problem-solving, communication, and leadership are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering and construction contracts, typically valued between £250k and £150m.
* Support the development and implementation of programme execution strategies aligned with project objectives.
* Drive safety, quality, time, and cost performance across your allocated packages.
* Monitor progress against milestones, budgets, and deliverables - reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maintaining robust cost and schedule control.
* Manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with NEC or FIDIC contractual frameworks.
* Promote knowledge-sharing, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across the delivery team.
* Coordinate with other Project Managers to ensure alignment across all delivery streams.
About You
You'll bring a strong foundation in project delivery within large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial environments - ideally within the nuclear or regulated sector.
Essential skills and experience:
* Proven experience managing multi-discipline EPCM projects (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning).
* Sound understanding of CDM regulations, construction management, and project lifecycle delivery.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
* Experience managing complex contracts and stakeholder interfaces.
* Proficiency in scheduling, risk management, and cost control processes.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
Desirable qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
* Professional Project Management qualification (e.g. APM PPQ, PMP).
* Experience with NEC and/or FIDIC contract forms.
* Experience working on nuclear, energy, or high-value civil engineering projects.
What's In It For You
* Opportunity to contribute to the UK's most complex and high-profile clean energy project.
* Work alongside some of the most skilled professionals in the industry.
* Gain exposure to cutting-edge construction and engineering methods.
* Develop your career within one of the world's most demanding project environments.
* Competitive day rate and long-term contract potential.
About the Project
Hinkley Point C will deliver 3.3GW of low-carbon electricity - enough to power around six million homes. With an operating life of over 60 years, it represents a cornerstone in the UK's net-zero strategy.
This is your chance to be part of something truly historic - building a sustainable energy legacy for future generations.
