Temporary Works Designer & Project Manager
Location: Edinburgh (with travel across the UK)
Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Leave: 30 days (including bank holidays)
Driving Licence: Required
Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for engineering design and project delivery? We are currently working with a third-party client seeking a Temporary Works Designer & Project Manager to join their close-knit and innovative team in Edinburgh.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to take on a diverse and hands-on role, going beyond design to manage the full project lifecycle – from concept through to client handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with clients to understand project requirements and develop concept design solutions
Attend client meetings (virtually and on-site across the UK)
Produce temporary works drawings in line with project specifications
Provide quotations based on the designs you’ve developed
Work collaboratively with internal teams to support project delivery and client satisfaction
Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years’ experience using Inventor, 3D CAD, or BIM
Strong planning and teamwork skills
Advanced Higher, HND, or Degree-level qualification in maths, physics, or engineering
Valid UK driving licence
Desirable Skills:
Scaffold design and/or temporary works design experience
Project management experience
Background in civil engineering or civil design
