Job Description

Project Planner Location: Crewe (2 - 3 days onsite) Contract Hourly Rate: Up to £34 End Date: 31st January 2026 About Us: Join our client, a leading organisation in the automotive engineering sector, dedicated to innovation and excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled Project Planner to enhance our project delivery capabilities. If you possess a strong technical background and a passion for project management, we want to hear from you! Key Deliverables: As a Project Planner, you will be instrumental in the management of process scheduling and deliverables for the project, change, and fleet teams within the department. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the scheduling process and ensuring deliverables are met for various teams. Taking minutes and tracking risks and actions during project and change meetings. Supporting project team actions, which will involve updating Microsoft Project plans as necessary. Creating vehicle check reports utilising existing IT tools. Ensuring robust change control of plans and effectively managing the change control log. Extracting resource profiles from project plans to provide a regular overview of resource capacity versus requirements. Facilitating clear communication between delivery and project teams to ensure alignment and collaboration. Skills & Experience: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: A technical background in automotive engineering, particularly in Powertrain, Testing, Safety, or Markets. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges. Proven experience in stakeholder management and collaboration, with the capacity to influence people at all levels. Demonstrable experience in project planning and successful project delivery within an automotive engineering environment. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Project and other Office Suite tools. A solid understanding of project management principles. Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of self-motivation. Confidence in communicating complex topics clearly and effectively.
