Projects Planning Manager – CDM Location: London & South East Skanska Building Services is a market leader in facilities management, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for high-profile clients across critical sectors. We’re currently seeking a Projects Planning Manager (Technical Programme Manager) to support the Projects and Lifecycle PM Teams across our FM portfolio. In this vital role, you will initially lead the MoD Main Building Capital Works Programme, with opportunities to expand your impact across a range of FM contracts. You’ll be responsible for programming and scheduling work packages, monitoring performance metrics, and helping us meet — or exceed — operational, commercial, and customer expectations. Please note: This role may involve occasional travel across sites and contracts, including overnight stays. Key Responsibilities * Develop, monitor, and manage detailed Capital Works and Lifecycle programmes. * Create and maintain resource modelling plans, including “what if” and risk analysis scenarios for key personnel and supply chain partners. * Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders — including the Senior Project Manager, Capital Works Manager, and Commercial Manager — on progress, risks, and opportunities. * Support FM project teams in delivering a customer-focused service through robust scheduling, data-driven insights, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Collaborate with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers to monitor and report on key commercial metrics. * Ensure project performance is tracked through digital tools, maintaining accurate, real-time reporting across the project lifecycle. * Lead the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives across all project stages. What You’ll Bring * Proven experience in developing and managing complex construction and FM programmes - incl a knowledge of CDM * Experience in programme and project planning roles within construction or FM environments. * Health & Safety certification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS). * CSCS card (or equivalent). * Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and Visio. * Strong background in change management and process improvement. * A professional qualification in a building-related discipline or programme/project management (desirable). * Minimum HNC in Building, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering — or a relevant degree. * Ability to achieve enhanced DBS and DV security clearance as required.
