Job Opportunity: Engineering Lead & Plant Engineer (F&U)
Location: Neuchâtel, Switzerland

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Lead & Plant Engineer, to join our Neuchâtel site. This is a cross-functional leadership role, responsible for the successful execution of complex technical projects across a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for GMP-critical systems, leading and supporting the full lifecycle of engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—Metrology, Automation, EHS, Validation, and others—to ensure all engineering workstreams are aligned with project goals, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate engineering workstreams across various disciplines to support site-wide projects.
Act as SME for critical GMP systems, including HVAC, WFI, cooling systems, chillers, process gases, and building utilities.
Oversee design, qualification, and continuous improvement of equipment and systems.
Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project timelines, quality expectations, and are compliant with cGMP, GEP, and EHS regulations.
Actively contribute to investigations, deviations, and CAPAs.
Chair engineering team meetings and ensure robust stakeholder, scope, and risk management.
Promote fit-for-purpose design solutions, challenging over-engineering where necessary.
Ensure adherence to the organization’s Portfolio Lifecycle Management and escalation protocols.Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related scientific field).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or energy industry.
In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations and engineering best practices.
Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional technical projects.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
