Project Quantity Surveyor - Highways
A leading Tier 1 contractor is delievring a major project in the Aylesbury area and is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to get started immediately on a heavy civil engineering project.
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, they will be the main commercial contact on a £20m Highways and civil engineering project.
Duties for Project Quantity Surveyor:
* Dealing with measurements, valuations and agreeing work.
* Preparing tender submissions for subcontract works packages.
* Overseeing projects commercially from bid through to final accounts.
* Maximise commercial efficiency on the project(s) you work on.
* Ensure strong relationships are maintained with the supply chain.
* Negotiate contracts and packages.
* Collating monthly contract reports.
Qualifications / Experience for Project Quantity Surveyor:
* Relevant surveying degree/qualification
* Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract
* Good IT literacy with competency in Excel
* Previous experience within Highways (preferred but not essential)
