Project Quantity Surveyor - Refurbishment & Housing Conversion Central London £70k-£75k + package Your new company: Our client is a dynamic and growing construction and development business, specialising in residential refurbishment and high-value housing conversions. Known for delivering complex projects with a focus on quality, innovation, and compliance, the company operates on high-profile schemes in Central London and the surrounding areas. Your new role: Our client is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major refurbishment and housing conversion project valued at £18 million in Central London. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a landmark project, taking ownership of the commercial management of the scheme from inception through to completion, ensuring budgets, costs, and risks are controlled and optimised. Responsibilities will include: Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts. Managing tendering processes, procurement, and subcontractor packages. Conducting value engineering exercises to maximise project profitability. Measuring, preparing, and agreeing interim valuations, final accounts, and variations. Liaising with design teams, clients, and contractors to resolve commercial and contractual issues. Monitoring project costs and advising management on commercial implications. Managing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Reporting on project performance to senior management. Supporting change management and dispute resolution processes as required. What you will need to succeed: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential refurbishment or conversion projects. Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts. Experience managing large-scale projects (£15m+ preferred). Excellent commercial acumen and cost management skills. Strong IT skills, including MS Excel, CostX, or similar software. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
