Niyaa people are recruiting for a property inspector on a permanent basis for a social housing provider in Manchester. The role involves inspecting properties to ensure they meet safety and quality standards, assessing the need for repairs, and overseeing maintenance work. This role requires knowledge of housing repair standards, experience in building maintenance.
Key responsibilities of the Property inspector role:
Conduct inspections: Perform routine and annual inspections of properties to assess their condition and safety.
Identify issues: Spot and report problems such as damp, mould, and safety hazards in electrical, gas, or fire compartments.
Oversee work: Manage and supervise maintenance activities, which may include working with contractors to ensure high-quality, expedient repairs.
Experience required:
Experience working within a social housing organisation
Experience in a construction related industry
Driving licence and access to own vehicle
