Job Title: Property Litigation Solicitor (2+ PQE)

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Property Litigation Solicitor with around two years (or more) post-qualification experience to join our busy real estate disputes team. You will work alongside senior litigators and real estate partners, handling a broad spectrum of contentious property matters for a strong and diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
Manage your own case-load of real estate litigation and dispute matters, including but not limited to landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals, break notices and forfeiture, boundary and easement issues, rights of way, estate management conflicts, and professional negligence claims arising in the property sector.
Draft and issue statements of case, witness statements, pleadings, disclosure documents, and attend and conduct hearings, mediations and interlocutory applications.
Conduct legal research, prepare advice for clients (institutional landlords/occupiers, developers, trusts, investment funds), and develop strategic litigation and alternative dispute resolution plans.
Work closely with transactional real estate, construction, insolvency and property finance teams to provide holistic advice on disputes that intersect across practice areas.
Build relationships with clients, taking responsibility for client communication and ensuring excellent service delivery in line with firm standards.
Contribute to business development initiatives, including assisting with proposals, seminars, thought leadership and identifying opportunities with existing clients.
Develop your technical skills in property litigation and maintain awareness of real estate market developments, legislative changes and case law trends.Person Specification
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales and (ideally) with solicitor rights of audience or relevant advocacy exposure.
Approximately 2+ years PQE in property litigation (or real estate disputes) gained in a city or large regional firm; exposure to higher value or complex matters would be advantageous.
Strong technical understanding of property law (particularly landlord & tenant, commonhold, leases, easements, boundary disputes) and civil litigation procedure.
Excellent drafting skills, with clarity, precision and attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills - able to manage multiple matters, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communicator - both written and verbal - who can engage confidently with clients, senior lawyers and other stakeholders.
Commercial awareness - understands the business context, client objectives and can identify risk and opportunities for clients.
A collaborative approach, keen to work in a team environment but also comfortable taking responsibility.
