Copello are seeking an experienced and driven Proposal Manager to join an established defence engineering business based in Portsmouth.
This person will lead the preparation and submission of high-quality, commercially sound proposals across complex, high-value bids. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in securing strategic business opportunities within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a small team of proposal specialists.

Oversee the full bid lifecycle from kick-off to submission and debrief.
*
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across technical, commercial, legal, and finance teams.
*
Ensure proposals are compliant, compelling, and strategically aligned.
*
Drive continuous improvement in proposal development processes and win rates.
What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in bid or proposal management.
*
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
*
Proven ability to manage complex bids across multiple functions.
* Commercial acumen and strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
